If you give money through Paytm like e-wallet, internet banking and mobile banking, then this news is a relief for you. Ombudsman will soon be formed to resolve digital transaction complaints. The Reserve Bank has announced to create a Digital Transmission Ombudsman.
If your digital transaction fails or money goes to the wrong place, then you will be able to complain to the Ombudsman.
RBI has said that by the end of January digital banking will appoint the Lokpal. Reserve Bank has said that notification will be issued for it in January.
The RBI had also discussed in its annual report about the system being
developed on the lines of Banking Ombudsman.
Banks do not take any steps to complain
Banks and mobile wallet companies have the highest number of complaints not to pay , and after sending money the person is not getting money while the money is coming from the account. Many times the banks do not take any action on these complaints,which the customer has to bear the brunt. Now the Reserve Bank of India is going to appoint different Digital Banking Ombudsman in view of this problem.
Appointment Till end of January
RBI said that the number of people doing digital banking in the country is increasing. With this, the problems of people are also increasing. The central bank will make such appointment just like the present banking ombudsman, which can easily be disposed of by customers’ complaints.
Rbi has said that he will appoint Digital Banking Ombudsman by the end of January next year.
